Our baby has entered the world and our lives and we could not be happier.

We’re down to a handful of sleeps until my scheduled c-section.

When was the last time you really thought about what it means to be ‘healthy’ and ‘normal’? It’s naff, and I don’t feel the same way about it that I used to.

A bit of a long post. Life has thrown a few extra punches our way in the last couple of weeks.

No good news.

We're having a weekend away and Junebug is helping us see the world with new eyes already. 

Junebug did some growing! I never thought that such teeny, tiny, incremental changes could feel so enormous.

A short antenatal check up. 

After a day of feeling calmer than usual, I was thinking about what it is that can keep you finding the positives in an otherwise shitty set of circumstances. 

Acknowledging bad habits is probably the first step to breaking them. I'm not quite there with my compulsive reading around the subject. 

I'm a sucker for the phrase, "If something seems too good to be true, it probably is." I'm trying not to be. 

I didn't think I could find things that would make me feel good during all of this. Luckily friends, family and of course, Erin, make that possible. Those are the good days. 

Our appointment with the midwife from the counselling team and learning more about our worst fears. 

A bit of a dramatic blog title, but it captures the sentiment of our latest ultrasound. I didn’t sleep the night before and we spent the morning trying to keep ourselves busy—music is helpful, so is tidying, puzzles, reading books that aren’t about babies, cooking, making nervous jokes about the situation.

When all tests come back normal, it doesn't feel very normal.
